What you need to run it, and the handful of things that usually go wrong first.

What you need

Shoot House is a dry-fire tool. Use it only with an unloaded firearm or a dedicated training device, and follow your own safety rules — the app does not and cannot verify that a firearm is clear.

Common problems

Hits are not registering
Re-run the target calibration so the app knows where the target’s corners are, and check the laser colour is set to match your device. A very bright room, or sunlight falling directly on the target, can wash out the flash — shade the target or lower the room lights.
Shots register where I did not shoot
Something else in frame is flashing — a TV, a phone screen, a reflective surface bouncing the laser. Move it out of the camera’s view, or narrow the framing so only the target is visible.
Scores look wrong on printed targets
Print at 100% or “Actual size”, never “Fit to page”. The ruler bar on the sheet must measure 100 mm. Scaling the print moves every scoring zone.
Phones cannot find the hub
Every device must be on the same WiFi network, and the hub must be allowed through the computer’s firewall — on Windows, tick Private networks when it asks. Guest networks and networks with client isolation will block phones from reaching the hub.
The hub will not start
If it says the port is already in use, the hub is most likely already running — look for its window before starting a second copy.
