Privacy Policy

For the Shoot House Android application, published by Fitz Systems LLC.

Last updated 13 August 2026

The short version

Shoot House does not collect, transmit or sell your personal data. It has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party tracking software of any kind. Fitz Systems LLC operates no server that the app talks to. Everything the app produces stays on your own devices and your own network.

Data we collect

None. We do not receive any information from the app — not usage data, not device identifiers, not diagnostics, not your training results.

Permissions and what they are for

Camera
The camera is how the app detects laser hits. Video frames are analysed on your device, in memory, and are not recorded or transmitted. The one exception is a still photo you take deliberately when setting up a custom target: that image is saved on your device so the app can score against it, and it is sent over your local network to your own hub computer if you are running a Shoot House course. It is never sent to us.
Microphone
Used only to hear a clap or a shot so a drill can start hands-free. Audio is analysed in real time to detect a loud transient and is never recorded, saved, or transmitted. No audio ever leaves your device.
Network access
Used only to reach the optional hub application running on a computer on your own local network, at an address you type in or scan from a QR code. The app contains no other network destinations and makes no requests to the internet.
Notifications
Used for one thing: when a phone is acting as the radio handset for a Shoot House course, an ongoing notification keeps it awake and connected so it does not miss a call while it is in your pocket. Dismissing it stops the handset. No other notifications are sent, and none are used for marketing.

Data stored on your device

The app keeps your settings, camera calibration, drill results and any custom target photos in its own private storage on your phone. This data is not readable by other apps. Uninstalling Shoot House deletes all of it.

The Shoot House hub

The optional hub application runs on a Mac or Windows computer that you control, and communicates with your phones over your own WiFi. Drills you build and runs you save are written to ordinary files on that computer. The hub does not connect to the internet and sends nothing to us.

Children

Shoot House is a firearms-training tool intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s Google Play listing.
